Ali’s Health Corner:  Topics that affect our Health & Wellness

I don’t know if your January was as weird and zany as mine was, but I’m glad it’s over and that we’re coming into the month of the heart and love—not because of the commercialization of Valentine’s Day (I don’t like that part) but because the opportunity February gives us, if we allow ourselves, to reflect where our heart is, what it’s feeling, and the role we let it play in our lives.

I’ve reflected on mine and decided to take our Meditation course last month that Carmen Rose taught because I’ve gotten away from taking time to meditate, and I miss the deep peace and joy it used to fill me with.  Part of Carmen’s class teaches us to be mindful by taking pauses in our day to observe and enjoy without judgment.  I took time to pause this week and just held Mango, our little Chihuahua, in my arms and mindfully looked at the hair growing on the sides of her nose, her little short eyelashes, her perfect tiny nostrils; I was distraction free, and suddenly in my mindfulness, I was filled with inexplicable joy.  I was surprised at the happiness I felt just holding her, looking at her without interruption, and observing without judgment.  I know it may sound funny, but all of the hard parts of my day faded, and I felt my heart literally soften.

It reminded me that it’s easy to get lost in the frenzy of life and forget to listen or delve into our hearts, to remember that our heart is where joy stems, the place where we are vulnerable, the place where we can be moved, the place where we tap into our souls.  But as a result of life’s frenetic pace, it’s easy to begin to feel less moved, more hardened and less in touch with our authentic selves.  However, it’s not healthy and closing off our hearts or being out of touch with our heart is evidently not how we’re wired either.

In 2014, HeartMath Institute did a credible study shown in a video called “Power of the Heart” where participants were connected with instruments measuring various biological functions to determine if the heart processed events accurately before the mind processed them.  They discovered that the heart knew the event seconds before the mind.  In fact, it even knew what the event was before their eyes saw it and the mind processed the image.  How can we use this fact about ourselves on a practical level?  We can try to be more open hearted.  We can delve more into our heart to find the answers for our individuals lives.  And we can trust what our heart tells us if we’re quiet and really listening.

If you want to open your heart more, you can try our regular guided meditation class starting Thursdays in our Meditation Room from 9:00am-9:45am beginning February 7.  Or you can try one of our facial or massage specials and add on our special guided heart meditation in the treatment room where our therapists will guide you through a meditation that is well known to open the heart, increase self-love, and love for others.  Whatever you decide, we send you love and health this month.

Kitty’s Corner: “Fear Is A Liar”

My January detox went well overall. I hope all of you who joined me enjoyed it or survived—at least. I realized this year it was easier than other years. I did the kidney and liver cleanse several times—which I loved. Got through an advantage anatomy class. And I’m super excited that February is here!

I changed my Facebook photo this month to “Fear Is A Liar.” How many times have we delayed things we want to do or stopped ourselves from reaching out to someone out of fear? We especially fear falling in love sometimes for fear we’ll be hurt. Valentine’s Day is coming up. Decide this month to overcome your fear. Decide to love more—which may mean making an effort to love yourself more. If you’re single, do something for yourself. We’ll pamper you at The Spa if you want to try our Single Women or Single Men’s Special. If you’re with someone, do something really special for each other like have a Couple’s Massage.

Much Love,
Kitty (Owner)

Guided Meditation in our Meditation Room

Guided Meditation: This will be led by Carmen Rose, who is certified in meditation and in yoga. Many credible, medical studies show that meditation slows aging in the brain, but it wasn’t until studies from UCLA’s School of Medicine revealed in 2015 that “On average, the brains of long-term meditators were 7.5 years younger at age 50 than the brains of non-meditators, and an additional 1 month and 22 days younger for every year after 50.”**

Do you want a younger brain and to dive deeper into your spirit? Come join us from 9:00am-9:45am every Thursday. It’s free for members. $5 for those who took Carmen’s 4-week January course and $10 for everyone else. Hit the button below to sign up.

Ali’s Health Corner:  Topics that affect our Health & Wellness

Happy New Year!!

I hope that as you contemplate this new year you’ll think about how to live in the present more often. Living in the present encourages us to be aware, go deeper, and seek to know ourselves first rather than to judge others.  Why is this important?  Because it ultimately leads to inner peace.  Tama Kieves, one of my favorite authors, says that we are like the ocean.  On the surface, the ocean can be turbulent, but if we dive deep, that is where we find silence, peace, and everything looks more beautiful.

Focusing too frequently on the past and what you used to be or what you used to have may lead to feelings of depression, while focusing too much on the future and what you don’t yet have may create feelings of anxiety. If we learn to focus on the present and be grateful for where we are and what we have, it can lead to feelings of joy, peace, and a greater respect for others.

We’d like to help you focus more on “present living” this year. As part of the classes that will be taught at The Spa, we’re making a special concentration on meditation—which helps the brain focus on how to be present.

Many credible, medical studies show that meditation slows aging in the brain, but it wasn’t until studies from UCLA’s School of Medicine revealed in 2015 that “On average, the brains of long-term meditators were 7.5 years younger at age 50 than the brains of non-meditators, and an additional 1 month and 22 days younger for every year after 50.”

Do you want a younger brain and to dive deeper into your spirit? Come join us for our 4-week meditation course starting Monday nights beginning January 21st from 6:00pm-7:30pm. It’s only $130 for all four classes. Classes will be taught by Carmen Rose, who is certified in meditation and yoga. This series is especially good for those who want to learn how to meditate. You will learn different meditation styles, meditation myths, and the importance of formal and informal practice.

For those who are already experienced meditators or who just want to implement it more into their lives, we will also be offering a weekly Thursday morning meditation class starting February 7th from 9:00am-9:45am. If you sign up for the four-week Meditation course above, the February weekly meditation classes will only be $5.00 per class. (Please see our additional courses below.). There are only 8 spots available for these courses so please sign up quickly if you’d like to attend.

We hope you join us for both the four-week course and the weekly meditation!

Kitty’s Corner: Detox Challenge and Ritual

Join me for The Spa January Detox Challenge & Ritual!

January has always been my month to detox. It’s a perfect month to kick off the year by being as clean as you can. For me, that means cutting out all alcohol, refined sugar, and bread. This year, I will also be adding movement every day, too. My choice of movement will be yoga this year. I’ve been doing this detox ritual for four years now, and each year, it has helped me throughout the year to be more mindful of what I put in my body.

My ritual includes replacing my alcohol with fresh made juice, a warm evening tea, or flavored water with a lime or lemon. Now I will replace refined sugars with real fruits, like an apple, and replace bread with more salad or another healthy choice.

I also choose to do my workouts towards the evening, which for me takes away that temptation of pouring a glass of wine after work. Many of my friends join me in my January detox, which makes it easier, more fun, and holds me accountable.

I hope you’ll join me!  This year, I’m going to make some non-alcohol drinks that are refreshing and heathy rather than just do juicing for 30 days. Click here to see one I’m planning to do:

Celery Shrub Recipe (link will open in a new browser tab)

I have chosen the special this month to be the Far infared sauna treatment to help give us all a kick start in eliminating stored toxins including those nasty pesticides, and the seaweed body wraps for the same reason, but also seaweed feeds the body nutrients. (See specials below.). I would also encourage you to attend Ali’s (our Master Certified Health & Wellness Coach) Detox class on Tuesday, January 8 from 6:00pm-7:00pm for some additional jump starts in getting your body cleaned out and functioning at its best.

Cheers to a healthy new you, and I hope to see you at the Spa.

Seaweed Body Wrap Special

Algae, rich in minerals, is one of nature’s most potent nutrients in the world. In this 60-minuate special, your body will be painted by our talented staff with a mixture of potent ocean algae and many precious essential oils that work synergistically. You’ll then be gently wrapped in mylar like a beautiful cocoon to allow the ingredients to work their magic on your skin. Since our blood plasma is similar in composition to the ocean, algae doesn’t know the difference between you and the ocean so it crosses blood barriers to remineralize and rebalance the body. This treatment releases toxins that cause the skin to appear ripples or thick, such as upper arms, pouches on upper hips, and bloated or distended waists and stomachs. * This wonderfully, gentle detoxing and nutrient-rich treatment is only $89 this month.

*Please let us know if you are allergic to iodine or if you’re pregnant.

Kitty’s Corner: Blissful Seaweed Bath

I know I talked about this last month, but I can’t stop talking about it this winter season because it is truly one of my favorite things, and I really want you to try it with the two products I adore!  I LOVE taking a relaxing bath.

I can’t live without our bath spa product called “Blissful Seaweed Bath” and a few drops of our “I Am Stress Free” oil. This is why I decided to make “Blissful Seaweed Bath” our membership product special of the month.  Everyone deserves to try this at least once in their lives.  There’s a really good reason why Kings and Queens soaked in bathtubs—to de-stress and to pamper themselves.  After you try it with our products, my bet is that you will wonder why you have not made this a part of your own ritual earlier.

“Blissful Seaweed Bath” is loaded with magnesium and calcium and other essential minerals that we’re often lacking. With this magnesium and calcium, you actually absorb it better than if you were to ingest it.  It crosses the skin and blood barriers.  You’ll feel grounded and relaxed like you’re in a beautiful meditation.

Here’s my process for this “spoil myself” ritual: turn off the lights, light a few candles, 2 scoops of “Blissful Seaweed Bath”, 5 drops of “I Am Stress Free” oil, breathe in and let go.  It’s time to surrender! Your muscles will thank you and so will anyone around you because you will feel more balanced after this ritual.  Enjoy! This is one of my absolute favorites.

Much Love,
Kitty (Owner)

Ali’s Health Corner:  Topics that affect our Health & Wellness

When so many stressful things are going on around us, it’s easy to lose hope, to wonder how things will improve, and to find peace.  But there is a way.  It’s called going within.  Too often we look for the answers to what plagues us outside of ourselves when the answer is to get grounded within.  It is only then that we can tap into that silent, serene space that is within us all to find the clarity we need.  Sometimes that’s hard to do on your own, though, if you don’t know how to do it.

Consider coming to The Spa this month to attend our “Soul Thirst:  Mindful/Meditation Class” on Tuesday, November 20th and we’ll teach you how to meditate and find that silent, inner space.  Or you may want to come to The Spa to enjoy some relaxation with your friends and family by enjoying one of our many treatments or take advantage of our November specials like our “Intention Facials or Intention Massages for individuals or couples” (see specials below).  After all, the holidays should be a time of joy, a time to spend with friends and with family in relaxation rather than stressing out by buying another gift that our loved ones don’t really need.

For a holiday gift this year, consider giving someone the gift of relaxation or health coaching to get them healthier by purchasing a gift card.  There are 3 ways you can purchase one:  online through our website, call us at (805) 591-7157, or come on in to The Spa.  We’re open Mon-Sat 9am-6pm.

Whatever you choose to do, may you have joy, peace, and love.

One of my favorite things to do is to take a relaxing bath.

“Blissful Seaweed Bath” is loaded with magnesium and calcium and other essential minerals that we are often lacking.

Much Love,

Intention Massage (for singles or couples)

One of the definitions of intention is “a thing intended; an aim or plan.  But another definition is “the healing process of a wound.”  Sometimes we need to take time to focus on an intention because we are in need of healing whether it’s our body, our mind, or our soul.  If you need some healing, try our Intention Massage.  We’ll show you how to select an intention card that your soul needs.  The message will be woven by our massage therapists through your massage experience.  You then will take the card home with you to further ponder why you selected that card.  It’s a great way to bring more awareness to yourself about something you need while settling into the gentle and skilled hands of our massage therapists.  Your body will receive the loving care it needs this holiday, as will your soul.  This massage is for men and women.  This massage is 60 minutes for only $100 (for single person); $235 total (for couples).

Kitty’s Corner: Wash-Stress-Away Routine

I’ve found that one of the best stress reducers is to have a nighttime face cleansing routine. A few months ago, I changed the name of many of our Spa line products so they could be used as a mantra—a positive affirmation to ourselves when we use them.

At night to begin my wash-stress-away routine, I cleanse my face with either our “I Am Cleansed ,”I Am Milky Lavender” or our LaFlore cleanser. I then put a few drops of one of our Spa line nighttime oils, like “I Am Stress Free” on my hands, rub, and take in a few breaths while I say out loud several times: “I Am Stress Free.” Our Spa line nighttime oils not only work on environmental stress that our skin undergoes, but they also can serve to relax us psychologically if we use the name on the bottle as an evening mantra.

My favorite end to my routine, especially now that fall is here, is to put a few drops of “I Am Stress Free” into a warm bath to dissolve any lingering stressful remnants from my day.

If you don’t have a routine and would like me to help you create one for you, please let me know. Consultations are free.

Ali’s Health Corner:  Topics that Affect Our Health & Wellness

A lot has been coming up in the news about depression and about suicide.  Though these are not topics people like to talk about, it’s important to acknowledge that it’s not uncommon for all of us to experience situational depression at some point during our lives—meaning that an event, like a divorce or death, triggers those deeply sad emotions.  Those with clinical depression face a more challenging obstacle because it’s not necessarily a situation that initiates or is responsible for their depression, and it can be very difficult to overcome.

This year in general has been a difficult year for many people.  Additionally, there is a lot in the world and in our society that is challenging.  Negative events strain our mind, body, and spirit, and sometimes it just feels like too much.  If that’s where you are, you’re not alone.  I have been there myself, and I want to share what I’ve learned in case it may help you or a loved one.

Anchor yourself that you may not be overcome by life’s storms.

Believe in something bigger than yourself.  Dr William Sears explains that “Science says spiritual people of all sorts are more likely to have happier brains, healthier bodies, and longer lifespans.*

I’m embarrassed to admit that I used to be a bit judgmental in my youth.  I grew up in a religion that trained me that ultimately everyone needed to believe what my religion taught, and then my own personal life storms came and taught me differently.  Those experiences showed me that spiritual truth is anything that helps a person become a better person—more kind, more loving, more charitable, more teachable, more authentic.  It doesn’t matter what religion good spiritual nuggets come from or whether they come from a religion at all as long as they help an individual become a better person.  So if something moves you to your highest self, embrace it!

You were meant to be.  Don’t give up!

There was a time in my life I almost gave up.  I’m glad I didn’t.  There have been utterly beautiful moments and miracles since then.  Trials and painful situations end.  They do.  Keep holding on.

Keep moving forward even if you don’t feel like it.

You may not know how things are going to work out when things aren’t going well, but they will if you keep moving forward.  Remember that “When you come to the edge of all the light you have known and are about to step off into the darkness of the unknown, faith is knowing one of two things will happen:  either you’ll be given something to stand on or you will be taught how to fly.” (Unknown).

Fill your mind for the first 30 minutes each morning with positive things.

This creates that positive set point for the rest of your day.  You’ll feel better,  have more patience, and experience deeper inner peace.  Listen to inspirational videos or talks online.  Here’s an example of a 15 minute one:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=He218LVmvw8

Don’t forget to laugh, especially at yourself.

Laughter is medicine for the body.  It releases endorphins, forms bonds, and increases brain connectivity. **  Watch funny movies or find a humorous friend to hang out with.

Keep flow in the body.

Flow is health.  Blockage is disease.  Massage is a powerful way to maintain this flow.  Massage is even known to significantly decrease stress and depression according to the Mayo Clinic.  Stress accounts for many illnesses.  “A 60-minute massage lowers cortisol—the stress hormone by an average of 30 percent…and increases serotonin [the happy hormone] by 28 percent.”  This combination boosts the body’s “ability to fight off pain, anxiety and feelings of sadness.”***  Check out the monthly massage special below if you, a family member, or friend could use some de-stressing.

Kitty’s Corner: CBD Topical Lotions & Massage

For the past couple of months, I’ve been wanting to add something additional to our massages at The Spa Central Coast to deliver even a more relaxing massage to ease stress and relieve pain.  I think I’ve found it.  A few weeks ago, we started carrying Sanare Smart CBD topical lotions.  We also have Vybes CBD Blueberry Mint and Peach Ginger drinks (that only have 4 g of sugar in a 14 oz bottle).  We will soon have CBD oil for dogs, too.

CBD is extracted from cannabis but is very different from marijuana because it does not lead to altered perception and cognition. Rather it tends to calm the nervous system.  In fact this June, the Food and Drug Administration approved the first pharmaceutical grade CBD, called Epidiolex, to treat severe seizure disorders in children.****

I’ve enjoyed my massages with this product and think you will as well.  We have a CBD Massage special this month if you want to try it (see the book button below), or you can also purchase your own lotion to take home (see purchase button below).

I’ll be happy to explain how to use it to anyone who buys this product.  Consultations are always free.

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND!!

Ali Bowen, MCHC will once again be co-teaching our class “Forgiveness and Self Love.” We’re breaking this class into 2 parts.  The first part will be on Tuesday, September 25 at 6:00pm in the Meditation room at The Spa Central Coast.  This class will help you have a better understanding of why self-love and forgiveness is the highest level of love and how everything in your life that is or isn’t working is connected to it and how forgiveness is crucial to our mental, physical and emotion health.  You’ll learn how to forgive yourself and those who have hurt you.

The second part will be on Tuesday, October 1 at 6:00pm.  We’ll be identifying how to listen to what your heart is trying to tell you and creating vision boards to help you identify what your soul needs, as well as desires that you may not be aware of but that are meant to be part of your life.

A BIG thanks to all of you who watched us on This is LA on July 7th and for your sweet feedback.  The episode was really fun to do.  If you didn’t see it but want to, we’ve included it below:

Ali’s Health Corner:  Topics that affect our Health & Wellness

About this time each year, clients begin to complain about digestive issues (e.g., heartburn, indigestion, & constipation).  It’s likely due to everything that accompanies that fun in the sun—an overindulgence in hotdogs, hamburgers, desserts, alcohol, and chips.

Why does overindulgence create havoc?  Ample research* shows that 70% of our health is in our gut, which is an enormous endocrine organ.  It absorbs essential nutrients and makes a number of hormones.  Thus, when something is out of balance there, it affects much of our body and mind.  When things are working well, it can provide us with health and good immunity.  Its rich supply of nerves has earned its name “gut brain,” and it’s also literally connected to the brain in our heads via the vagus nerve.  It’s not surprising then that our brain is most affected by nutrition.  The healthier your gut is, the healthier your brain is and the happier you will be because 90% of serotonin (the “feel good” hormone) is made in the gut.*

How can you keep your gut healthy?  Eat slow and small meals composed of  fresh fruits, veggies, and lean meats 90% of the time and consume daily probiotics (i.e., healthy bacteria/flora) to feed the good flora in your intestines.  You can get probiotics in fermented items like Greek yogurt, kefir, kombucha and cottage cheese (select low sugar options, though).

Since we have trillions of strains of gut bacteria, however, you’re likely not going to be able to get all you need through food.  Since supplements aren’t regulated and probiotics are affected by moisture, stomach acid and other factors, we’ve done a lot of research to select the specific one we carry at The Spa.  Always check with your doctor before going on any supplements, especially if you’re on any medication.

There are 8 particular probiotics that are especially powerful for your gut and skin.  Kitty’s corner will address more about how the skin on our face and probiotics are entwined.

I wish you all the best and optimal health!

Namaste (which means the light in me honors the light in you),

Kitty’s Corner: Eczema, Acne, Rosacea, Pre-mature Aging

I’ve been searching for additional products to help my clients more quickly who have severe skin issues, and I’ve finally found them.  Are you or a loved one suffering from eczema, acne, rosacea or pre-mature aging?  I can help through a simple 3-step facial program that I’ve brought into The Spa recently.  There are thousands of bacteria on your face that keep our skin healthy, but when it’s out of balance, it creates issues like the ones I’ve mentioned. Ali talked about the importance of feeding your gut with probiotics, but it’s equally important to feed your face topically with them, too.  According to The American Academy of Dermatology, probiotics are the “new beauty breakthrough, optimizing skin’s natural barrier function as well as addressing acne and rosacea.”

I don’t ever put anything on my shelves unless I’ve personally used it.  I’ve used it every day for the past two months and have noticed huge benefits.   If you’d like the probiotics added to your facial treatment in The Spa, we can do that (see August Specials below to book) or you can purchase the set (see purchase button below).  We always love to see our clients, too, so feel free to stop by The Spa (617 12thSt, Paso Robles) to pick up a set.  I’ll be happy to explain how to use it to anyone who buys this regimen.  Consultations are always free.

What Sets Us Apart from Other Day Spas

(Each month we share one thing that makes us different from the rest)

We are one of the few day spas to offer a complimentary foot soak.  We offer these as a way to honor all of our guests.  In ancient times, to wash another’s feet was a sign of love and respect.  We want to continue this tradition to all of those who enter our doors for a spa treatment.

Ali’s Health Corner:  Topics that affect our Health & Wellness

The 4th of July always reminds me of family.  We often spend it celebrating it with our immediate families, but it is also a time when we think about our larger family—the communities we’re part of and our entire American family as we contemplate our freedom and who are as a nation.

I learned the hard way how much power all these families have on us.  I grew up in a small town in a community I loved and attended a conservative religion where I actively participated.  In my childhood, I always felt different from my peers.  I overcompensated for the feeling of difference within me that I couldn’t accept by becoming a people pleaser.  When I came out at 29, most of my friends, my family, and my church community rejected me.  I didn’t know anyone else at the time who was gay.

To feel that much rejection at once was the most painful, loneliest moment of my life.  Its immediacy was as though I was pushed from a powerful force behind me into water only to later realize it was deeper than I could manage.  I saw faces staring down at me as I sank deeper.  Despite reaching my hands for them, those who could have easily saved me just stood still, staring while I struggled for my life.  Everything I thought I could trust in, all that I had built, all that I thought I knew existed no more.  It had disintegrated in a matter of days.  I sunk to the bottom of my life’s ocean for two years and stayed there in pain and anger—to such an intense degree I had never before felt.

But somehow in that brokenness, despite being told by others that God didn’t love me and that I no longer had any worth, I desperately clung to the feeling of love and joy I had felt during my years of developing a relationship with a power greater than myself.  I learned what it is to really forgive and how important it is to our own mental, physical, and emotional health.  However, it took 6 years before most of my family accepted me into their circle again.

Though I’d not wish this experience on anyone else, I made the choice to open my heart and learn what I could from this experience instead of closing it or giving up.  Doing so, taught me to wholeheartedly trust in a higher power, to ultimately figure out how to love myself and in doing so, to sincerely love my neighbor because I could finally genuinely love who I am.

When I heard in the news last week that an 8-year old African American boy hung himself after being bullied, I felt very impelled to share this message.  It is the lack of compassion toward each other that will be the only thing that has the power to destroy us as a nation.  Forgiveness and compassion aren’t just empty words, they are crucial for everyone’s health and wellness.

We need to come together as part of this great American family.  We all need each other, and we need the diversity that exists whether it’s political, ethnic, cultural, religious, or sexual orientation.  Difference makes us stronger not weaker—so many credible studies show it.

Why not use July 4th to start something new since our current way isn’t working?  Let’s try to listen to each other, respect each other, agree to disagree where we can’t find true common ground, and begin to create our circles of inclusion around, and focus on, healthy ways of building together what is important to us all:  our freedom, the safety of our kids & family, and an opportunity to earn a decent living for our time and skills we offer.

If you’re interested in attending a class on Forgiveness and Self Love this month, I’ll be co-teaching it with the newest member of our team, Janice Patterson who overcame a severe health crisis despite the prognosis given her.  See more information under “” below on how to sign up.  Also new this month is our new family menu.  You can come to The Spa with your entire family.  Your children and teens can now enjoy our healing spa treatments.

At The Spa Central Coast, all are welcome regardless.

Namaste — which means the light in me honors the light in you,

Ali

Kitty’s Corner — What Your Skin Might Be Telling You

I’ve been seeing a lot of clients lately whose skin is suffering.  If you’ve come to me before, you’ve heard me speak about diet (i.e., what you’re eating).  You may not realize it but your diet severely affects your skin.  Most skin conditions are due to inflammation.  This is one of the reasons I’ve brought Ali, our Master Certified Health and Wellness coach into The Spa.  If you notice rough patches of skin, frizzy hair or nails that are brittle, you’re likely deficient in Omega-3 fats.  We need these healthy dietary fats to thrive, and fat itself is so important in skin health.  We have a layer on our skin that takes in dietary fats into its membranes. Water and gut health matter, too, for skin health.  We also have bacteria on the skin that need to be fed on the surface, too.  Ali, can help you with improving your diet.  I can help you with the surface part.  Together we can help you tackle your eczema, psoriasis, rosacea and other forms of dermatitis.

In fact, to treat the surface, I’ve just brought on a simple 3-step program for those who have challenging skin problems like acne.  I don’t ever put anything on my shelves unless I’ve personally used it.  I’ve used it every day for the past month and have noticed huge benefits.  I’m happy to say it is now available to you.  You can purchase it online from us through the MindBody app or come in to The Spa.  I’ll be happy to explain how to use it to anyone who buys this regimen.  Consultations are always free.

Much love,

Kitty (Owner)

Health & Wellness Classes

I will be co-teaching a class on “Forgiveness and Self Love” with Janice Patterson, a new member of our team who had a health crisis that she overcame despite the prognosis.  This class will be on Tuesday, 31 at 6:00pm in the Meditation room at The Spa Central Coast.  This class will help you have a better understanding of why self-love and forgiveness is the highest level of love and how everything in your life that is or isn’t working is connected to it and how forgiveness is crucial to our mental, physical and emotion health.  You’ll learn how to forgive yourself and those who have hurt you.

We’ll also be identifying how to listen to what your heart is trying to tell you and creating vision boards to help you identify what your soul needs, as well as desires that you may not be aware of but that are meant to be part of your life.

This class will allow deep healing and provide you the opportunity to move on to your highest potential.   This class will be donations only because we believe this class is so needed by so many people.

What Sets Us Apart from Other Day Spas

(Each month we share one thing that makes us different from the rest)

We are one of the few day spas to offer a children’s menu because we realize the benefit of massage on kids.  Studies show it helps reduce ADHD**, increases cooperation, improves academic performance and reduces violence* in children and teens.
